The 4.1 version of the FSSC 22000 standard, published in July 2017, came into force on January 1st. It also underwent a change in December (BoS decision list).
The Foundation FSSC 22000 has made several changes to version 4, in particular, it adjusts to version 7.1 of the Global Food Safety Initiatives (GFSI) Benchmarking Requirements, provides for the introduction of unannounced audits, extends the purpose of the standard and clarifies some aspects following feedback received.
