Graduate in Food Sciences and Technologies, University of Udine, 1999. Since 2001, he is authorised to carry out the Food Technologist activity and is registered in the professional association register of the region Veneto and Trentino Alto Adige, No. 47. He begins his career working in a consulting firm operating mainly in the catering sector, later taking the position of quality assurance and quality control officer for companies selling confectionery and baked products. In 2001, he starts specialising in the implementation of management systems for food quality and safety pursuant to ISO 22000, ISO 9001 regulations and BRC, BRC-IOP, IFS standards.
In 2002, he gains a qualification as a third-party auditor, at first for biological certifications according to European, Swiss, American and British standards, later also to IFS, BRC and ISO 22005 standards. Over the course of the years he focuses on education at different levels and areas, addressing issues regarding food education in kindergartens, primary schools and secondary schools, teaching courses at Udine and Padua Universities as well as in private food companies regarding food safety, product / system certifications, labelling and behavioural regulations.
Main areas of competence:
He is an expert teacher in the field of food safety, a member of a group of panellists trained in food sensory analysis, and implementation of management systems for food safety and quality (BRC, IFS, IFS-Logistic, ISO 9001, ISO 22000, ISO 22005 certifications and product certification); he has gained knowledge regarding legislative aspects of the food sector, such as special food categories or the production and control of legal labels. He supports his Customer’s relations with monitoring authorities (NAS, ASL, Ministry of Health, ICQ – Fraud Monitoring Agency.
Organisation, management and implementation of first, second and third party audits at several companies owned by privates, providers and customers, according to the main international laws and standards on food safety; collaboration with analysis laboratories, companies specialised in pest-control and providers of machinery and plants.
